In 2013 the Diesels fell just short of the championship series when they lost in the semi-finals. However, Voils, would put together the team that would help get the Diesels there soon after.

In 2014 the Diesels became the Midwest division champions and were only one game away from winning their first ever PBL title, before dropping game three to the Rochester Razorsharks. Rex Voils would go on to receive the Executive Of The Year in 2014.
