Jones scored a PBL season-high 41 points in Erie’s last game. The RazorSharks have added some new
wrinkles to their team defense this week that specifically focus on stopping Jones.
RazorSharks head coach Lawrence Moten was asked about the double-header coming up this weekend.
“In order to keep this winning streak alive we need to trust each other and continue to work hard on
defense. Everything will take care of itself for this team if we do what we have to do on the defensive
end of the court. I like this team and the 14 guys we have on the roster, now we just need to make
winning a habit”.
Rochester’s newest acquisition, guard Scott Rodgers, is off to a strong start to his 2014 PBL season.
Rodgers is averaging 20 points per game in his last two games and had 17 points against the Hurricane
the last time these two teams played.
Coach Moten was asked about his impressions on Rodgers so far this season, “Scott is a smart player, he
is a combo guard and can play both the point and off-guard. He is a good distributor, he not only makes
the right decision, he gets his teammates in the right position”.
The first game of the double-header will take place in Rochester at the Blue Cross Arena this Saturday,
February 8, with a tip-off time of 2:00 p.m. Both teams will travel to Erie the next day, Sunday February
