The Rochester RazorSharks officially announced the hiring of Chris Daleo as their new head coach.

The RazorSharks, who are coming off a championship winning season, will look to Chris Daleo to lead the team to a third consecutive PBL title. Chris brings a history of winning seasons to the RazorSharks organization, most recently winning the 2015 Midwest Professional Basketball Association (MPBA) title, with the Champaign Swarm. Daleo’s resume is second to none in minor-league professional basketball. Career highlights include: CBA Coach of the Year in 2003, selected to coach the CBA all-star team three times, won two conference championships in the now former CBA, and lastly and most impressive, he has never had a losing season as a head coach or general manager in minor league professional basketball.

"We are pleased to have Daleo become part of the RazorSharks organization. His success, winning attitude, and professional experiences are the perfect combination that we have been looking for.” said Paul Rosen, RazorSharks Co-Owner.

With training camp expecting to open up in December for the upcoming 2016 PBL season, Coach Daleo will now turn to the task of solidifying an already impressive RazorSharks roster.

“I am very excited and honored to be asked to lead the RazorSharks for the 2016 season.  Rochester has a long history of winning seasons and championships and I fully expect to do everything in my power to make sure that the winning tradition continues!”, stated Chris Daleo.

The RazorSharks plan to hold a press conference to introduce Coach Daleo to the local media and RazorSharks fans later in July of 2015.

The Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks are looking to move to a new location.

The former American Basketball Association (ABA) organization, who has recently joined the Premier Basketball League (PBL) is in talks to move out of their Louisiana hometown. They will be visiting multiple locations within the midwest area to try and find a new home.

Knowing the PBL is majority located in the Midwest and East areas, the Mavericks feel the move would be a benefit for the organization. The Mavericks went 66-0 during their time in Shreveport and won 51 straight games, as well as claiming two ABA championships.

Last weekend, June 27th, 2015 the Premier Basketball League held their annual owner's meeting downtown Chicago. The meeting went very smooth and the league accomplished many things.

Dennis Truax, the PBL Commissioner, talked at length about rules and regulations, and new and any changes within the league we are having. The league officially introduced the Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks staff to the rest of the owners, as well as introduced a few owners of new and potential teams for the PBL. Paul Carter, the Director of Officiating, spoke during the meeting regarding new rules for the referees, what we needed to improve on from last year, and how he plans to make those improvements. Dominic Turcotte, the Vice President of the PBL, spoke regarding new and potential sponsorships for the league and how that will impact each of our teams throughout next season. The league had a marketing/production company come to talk to all of the owners as well in regards to best practices for their brands and the league's brand, as well as ways to improve on television productions for the teams that broadcast their games.

Overall the meeting was a success! We are thankful to all of the owners that traveled to the meeting and are hoping that this is only a start to a fantastic season with the Premier Basketball League.
