Sixth Man of the Year Goes to Lima

Kyle Meyer is the winner of the 2014-15 Premier Basketball League (PBL) Sixth Man of the Year award. The 6’6”-forward from Ohio Northern University had a standout year with the Lima Express, who finished third in the PBL Midwest Division.

The 27-year old veteran showed experience and dedication to hard work after he posted 282 points and pulled down 113 total rebounds.

“Kyle has been a staple in our organization for our first two years,” stated Express owner Lewis Shine. “Not only has he been a professional basketball player on the court, but his professionalism off the court speaks volumes! A family guy and a great teammate, I have been honored to have Kyle as a part of the Lima Express.”

Repeat Winner; Defensive Player of the Year

Courtney Blackmore has done it again. The 2013-14 PBL Defensive Player of the Year is a repeat recipient of the award for his superb performance during the 2014-15 season.
Blackmore was arguably the largest contributor to the Lake Michigan Admirals first ever championship series, during their first ever PBL post-season appearance, after the won their division, also for this first time. Courtney finished the season with 10 blocks, 94 defensive rebounds and second in the league with 53 steals proving to be the best defensive player in the league.
Though it does not have an effect on wining a defensive player award, Blackmore proved to be an all-around fantastic player with a team-leading 21.93 points per game and third on the team with 57 points.
RazorSharks Spend Weekend in the Community

On Saturday, April 18th, the Special Olympics held a basketball tournament at the College of Brockport gearing up and getting ready for the Olympics. Making a special appearance was local icon and friendly face, Finley, who was right there cheering everyone on!
The Special Olympics 2015 & 2016 State Summer Games will be hosted by the College at Brockport and the Greater Rochester area. Over 2000 athletes and coaches will be on hand, all events are free & open to the public.

Following their busy day on Saturday working with the Special Olympics, the RazorSharks spent Sunday, April 19th at St. Baldrick's Fundraiser to raise money for their foundation where over 80 people took the challenge & got their heads shaved bald to show their support to the children who lose their hair during treatment.
Every three minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer. Worldwide, 175,000 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. Finley joined in support with the others at Mickey Finns in Victor, NY cheering on all those "shaving their heads for the cause".
