The Riverhawks had a huge home win against the Admirals (10-3) on February 12th and lost a close away game on February 15th to Racine Storm (8-3) but are ready to get back on track against a team they've had some trouble with this season, the Indianapolis Diesels.

The Diesels’ Harry Marshall recently signed a major contract to play overseas for a team in Greece. For those that remember, the Diesels coach Aaron Hogg won the PBL’s 2014 Coach of the Year.

Another familiar face of the Danville Riverhawks, Cedric Ridle, who used to wear the blue and white jersey in Danville, will be representing the Diesels white and green for his second game of the season.

The Rochester RazorSharks host the first Saturday day-time game when they have a repeat matchup against the Erie Hurricane, who they pummeled 160-111 on Monday during the PBL Presidents Day matinee game. However, a 46-point performance by Lester Jones of the Erie Hurricane proved that with more help from his bench, the Hurricane could have brought a different outcome in this blowout game. The weakened bench by the Hurricane is what brought a 10-point game that was held for three quarters, to losing by 49 because of how badly the Hurricane ran out of energy. With a week of preparations, this matchup will be much closer.

The Buffalo 716ers recently lost 24-year old guard, Amir Billups, in a multi-car accident. Billups funeral will be held Friday, and you can bet the 716ers will come out with full-force in an attempt to embarrass the Flight and win their first weekend games without Billups. The 716ers will then travel to Jamestown, New Jersey for a Sunday game against the fifth place Erie Hurricane, while battling for the final post-season spot in the PBL East.

PBL Player of the Week
Lester Jones, Erie Hurricane

After losing a brutal road game, 160-111, to the Rochester RazorSharks there didn't seem like there would be much to highlight. However, the 46 points scored by Lester Jones was absolutely incredible.

Jones was 7-11 from the three-point line, making for nearly half his points in a difficult area to make shots, especially 64-percent of them.

His pin point precision shooting kept the Hurricane in the game all the way until the fourth quarter, when Erie just seemed out of gas and started running into foul trouble.

Jones, who has been the second highest leading scorer for the Hurricane all season, averaging 24-points per game, set his new PBL career-high scoring record against the Sharks and will have a chance to repeat this performance when the Hurricane travel back to Rochester, New York on Saturday at 1pm.
PBL Game of the Week
Philadelphia Flight @ Buffalo 716ers
Saturday, February 22nd at 3:00pm (ET)

It is never easy for a team to recover after such a devastating loss, but this time for Buffalo it is the loss of teammate Amir Billups who passed away last weekend in a multi-car accident.

The ceremony, which took place Friday morning, had teammates, family, and friends, all there to show their love and pay respects to their team captain.

The 716ers have already stated that before their game on Saturday against the Flight, they will have a brief ceremony to honor the 24-year guard.

A win here could be critical for both teams. The Philadelphia Flight (2-4) who currently sit in third of the PBL East were on a two game-winning streak before they fell to the second place Carolina Pee Dee Vipers (9-2), however, the fourth place Buffalo 716ers (4-7) will come with plenty of heart.

PBL Alum Report

Harry Marshall, of the Indianapolis Diesels has just signed a major contract to play overseas in the A2 league in Greece.

Marshall, a notable member of the Diesels 2014 Midwest Championship team, will be a guard on Iraklis Thessaloniki, in Greece, located on a northern harbor off the Aegean Sea, Thessaloniki.  Other famous American basketball players such as Roy Tarpley and Xavier "X-Man" McDaniels have also played for this team.

The departure of Marshall, Indianapolis’ second highest leading scorer with 23-points per game, will be tough to replace but the team is excited to see their star point guard receive an opportunity to play overseas.

Marshall, an Indiana State alum, joined the Diesels last year when the franchise made the move from Columbus, Indiana to Indianapolis.

Marshall now joins Foster as the Diesels player continue to move forward in their career with new professional opportunities. Foster currently plays for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA Developmental league.

Indianapolis is currently fourth place in the PBL Midwest at 5-5 and 3.5-games behind the first place Lake Michigan Admirals. With a superb 4-1 record at home, they hope to continue their success when they host the division-leading Admirals on Sunday at 3pm.
