Kicking off this week's PBL games is potentially one of the most intense rivalries in the league. PBL Player of the Week
Gabe Freeman, Rochester RazorSharks

Gabe Freeman easily earned this week's PBL Player of the Week award after posting a franchise-record 41 points during Rochester's 105-90 win over the Buffalo 716ers.

Freeman's 41 points would come primarily from his success outside the paint. He completed 69.6-percent of his shots from the field and was also the leader in rebounds with 13.

Overall, it's been a particularly strong season for the 29-year old power forward. In six games, Freeman leads the RazorSharks in scoring (111 points) and in total rebounds (61).
PBL Game of the Week
Lima Express @Lake Michigan Admirals, January 17th, 6:06pm

The Lake Michigan Admirals (5-2) currently sit in first of the PBL Midwest Division, but they need to derail the incoming Lima Express (3-2) in order to hold onto their best start since joining the league in 2012.

The Admirals roster includes the world's tallest professional basketball player, "Big Bob" Wegner, who stands at 7'8.

These two last met on December 21st when the Admirals left Ohio after defeating the Express 95-92 in what was a strong defensive battle.
   GET TO KNOW
Kathryn Robinson, Marketing and Communications Director- Carolina Pee Dee Vipers

Kathryn Robinson is the Communications and Marketing Director for the Carolina Pee Dee Vipers (5-1), one of the hottest teams in the Premier Basketball League. The Vipers are not only studs on the court, but they are also just as strong and successful off the court. Thanks to Kathryn, the Vipers have made a positive example in their community with campaigns such as "The Junior Vipes" program where the players go to local schools and discuss the importance of education and involvement in activities.

We sat down to learn a little bit more about Ms. Robinson, the person with far too many embarrassing songs on her iPod to name, in this week's Q & A.

PBL: Favorite NBA team growing up:
KR: Boston Celtics

PBL: Michael Jordan or Lebron James
KR: Jordan

PBL: Did you play any sports growing up?
KR: I danced and cheered, both competitively.

PBL: Dogs or cats?
KR: I hope to have a miniature schnauzer soon!

PBL: Favorite food?
KR: Chocolate

PBL: Modern Family or How I Met Your Mother?
KR: Modern Family

PBL: Favorite movie?
KR: The Godfather"I'll make him an offer he can't refuse."

PBL: Something you'd like people to know about you:
KR: I'm a nerd, but I love it. I truly enjoy learning. I was the first Honors Communications Graduate from the UNC Charlotte, which is something I'm very proud about. I'm not always serious, I do have fun!

PBL: Is there a particular PR campaign that has inspired you?
KR: "I Will What I Want" by Under Armor. The campaign features a variety of well-known athletes who are women and tells their individual stories and struggles that they overcame to be whom and where they are now. It encourages women to accept who they are as an athlete and a woman. The best part about the campaign is it reminds women that they have achieved their strengths and accomplishments on their own and not through any other measures or shortcuts that may be ascribed to them by social views. Oh, and Under Armor wants women to buy their products.
