PBL Meeting a Success

On Wednesday, May 7th the PBL held their first of two meetings in preparation for the 2015 season at Gibson's Steakhouse in the city of Chicago. 56 people consisting of new and incoming team owners, sponsors and league officials came together for this special event.

Following a meet and greet, the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Sev Hrywnak officially kicked off the meeting with an overview presentation of the 2014 season and the progression of the PBL leading into next season.

Dr. Hrywnak's presentation discussed the current financial state of the league, the stability of its teams and the long term vision of the league.

The Pee Dee Vipers' mascot Striker proved to be the fan favorite when it comes to off-court talent and entertainment.

In what was a tight battle against Finley (Rochester Razorsharks) and Dunkin(Indianapolis Diesels) the Vipers' mascot received the most facebook votes for the league's coolest mascot.

Not only is Striker known for his crazy antics at Pee Dee's home games but he has also been spotted all across the Florence, South Carolina area taking part in helping his community.
On Sunday, May 18th in Rochester, New York the Rochester Razorsharks joined 3,000-plus solo walkers who were in attendance for the 2014 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes.

JDRF holds more than 200 walks across the country to help raise awareness and money to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

With help from the Razorsharks the Rochester walk raised nearly $194,000 between individual and major company donations.

JDRF has raised $2.8 million dollars since the event started back in 2010.
