Executives Around The League

Throughout the regular season the Premier Basketball League has featured team owners who were making an impact in their community and on the court in the special 'monthly' editions of the PBL Weekly newsletter.

This was a perfect time for fans to get to read and learn about some of their favorite or local team executives.

Unfortunately, not every owner this year was able to be featured in our newsletters. It doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be honored. We are proud of all the members of our PBL family and the hard-work and dedication they've put into keeping our league the best independent minor league in the U.S.
Devin Johnson (above) and Floyd Brown are co-owners of the Chicago Tide who were the newest addition to the Premier Basketball League for the 2013-14 season.

Devin went to college at Lindenwood University where he played college basketball and received his Bachelor's degree in Sports Management.

When he's not running the Tide, Devin is an AAU basketball coach in Bourbonnais, IL. Johnson also tutors children in a variety of subjects twice a week at the Markham Park District.
Ryan Raftery currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Red Penguin Athletics, the lead management organization for the Rochester Razorsharks. In that role he serves as the General Manager for the Razorsharks operations.

His experience in basketball spans over 20 years at multiple administrative and coaching levels.

He has been awarded over a dozen Coach of the Year awards, including a multiple-time Basketball Coaches Association of New York Coach of the Year honor.
Sharone Wright is a McDonald's All-American from Macon, GA. He attended Clemson University where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. While at Clemson, Wright led the ACC in rebounds and blocks for three years.

Wright went on to be selected sixth overall in the 1994 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, earning All-Rookie his first year. He played a combined 14 years pro with the NBA and international minor leagues.

Prior to becoming the GM of the Pee Dee Vipers, Wright was a West Coast Players Representative with the NBA's Retired Players program.
