Rochester RazorSharks Head Coach Chris Daleo Leading All-Star Team in China

Recently hired RazorSharks head coach Chris Daleo is currently partaking in an exciting coaching venture this month in China.

Daleo has been given an opportunity to coach and take over a team with a grueling schedule of 14 games in just three weeks. Chris will have the pleasure of leading a team filled with tremendous talent, many of which have previous experience in the NBA, the NBA D-League and NCAA Division 1 competition.

When asked about this opportunity Coach Daleo had much to say, “I want to work on different things I’m not familiar with and work on weaknesses and showcase the strengths of my players.”

Competition in this 14 game schedule will be inherently tough as Coach Daleo and his team will be competing against top Division 1 Chinese Clubs. Daleo spoke on this upcoming uphill battle, “It’s a challenge to take an unknown club and maximize strengths and try to win. But this is a way for me to focus on basketball, focus on winning, and focus on this opportunity.”

Through this venture, the RazorSharks and the Premier Basketball League will have an avenue for exposure of the brand and league through Coach Daleo. Daleo expressed, “expanding awareness to get our name out there is always a good thing. This is a chance to scout players for Rochester, display the brand and the PBL internationally, and I plan on staying loyal to my club.”

When asked about the most important aspect of this opportunity, Coach Daleo emphasized the significance of winning, “Losing hurts the image of American basketball. When American teams head overseas and struggle to win it looks bad on all of American basketball and puts a kink in our armor. My goals are simple: win games, showcase players, and showcase myself, the RazorSharks and the PBL. This is about business and about wins,” said Daleo.
