The PBL will be holding their annual combine this Saturday, August 15,2015. The combine gives players the chance to come showcase their talent to all of the organizations within the league. There will be representation from each team present to scout and recruit new players to join them for the upcoming 2016 Season. Players participating will be a wide-range of skill levels, ranging from semi-pro and pro teams to just high school experience. 

The combine will take place right outside of Chicago, IL at one of the Bulls/Sox Academy locations. It will be a closed tryout, only for the members of the league and new recruits. This one-day tryout will consist of drills at different stations and scrimmaging to be able to see the full potential that each of the players have to offer. 

This combine will also be a chance to recruit new referees for the league. The Premier Basketball League is one of the only leagues that give referees an experience closest to NBA style of play. Since the PBL follows NBA rules for all of their games, this is a good chance for people to get the expertise needed to continue on in their referee careers. 

The league expects a good turnout for both players and referees and looks forward to seeing everyone's talent put to work. 

If you still want to participate, but have not registered yet, you will still have the opportunity to register at the door.
 


The Premier Basketball League will be holding their draft for the upcoming season on August 26th, 2015 at 8PM EST. 

The draft will be a total of 3 rounds. Each team within the league is required to draft at least one player that participated in the 2015 combine. The rest of the players being drafted, need to be anyone who would be eligible for the 2015 NBA draft. Shreveport-Bossier Mavericks will have the first pick for the draft this year following by the rest of the teams in the league. 

The league is planning on televising the event, but has not finalized on what network it will be aired.

CURE Childhood Cancer Association partnered with the RazorSharks, for this year’s 13th annual golf tournament. The event started in the morning of August 12th with people from all over supporting the cause. CURE is consistently making an attempt to better the lives of families suffering with childhood cancer or blood disorders. Hailey Coniber, a RazorShark’s favorite, caught the eye of Razorsharks' management during last season with her boisterous personality and will to fight.

Hailey began the day showing Finley around the course, introducing him to her many friends and family. She showed him her clubs, how to hit, and most importantly, how to have fun. With some clouds and a little rain in the morning the good spirits and Hailey’s glowing smile managed to bring out the sun and it was a beautiful afternoon for a little golf for a great cause.
