Rochester RazorSharks Return Star Guard Corey Allmond
Sharpshooter Corey Allmond returned to the RazorSharks last week, and his first game will be against the 4-1 New England Shamrocks. Allmond played with the RazorSharks in the 2014-2015 season, averaging over 20 points per game, and shooting an impressive 43% from three-point range.
During that year, he broke franchise records for most three-pointers in a game, along with the team's single game scoring record. He played Division I college basketball for Sam Houston State, and moved on to play in the NBA's Developmental League immediately after.
Early on this season, Allmond played up north in the NBL Canada. There, he has been averaging 16 points per game and shooting 37 % from three-point range. Coach Iversen hopes that Allmond's great shooting ability will help round out Rochester's roster, and supplement an improving RazorSharks team as they look to make a push to the top of the PBL's Northeastern Division.

The Kentucky Mavericks Reach 100th Straight
The streak continued and broke the century mark! With the 114-76 win at the Danville Riverhawks, the Kentucky Mavericks have now won 100 straight wins, led by Cordarius Johnson with 21 points.
Kentucky jumped to a quick 8-4 lead in the first two minutes before Danville went on a run to take the lead 12-15. The Riverhawks did not give the lead back, just outpacing the Mavericks to lead after the first quarter 28-25.
The third quarter was back to typical Maverick basketball, extending their lead to 18 with a 20-6 run. They kept that pace leading after the third quarter 86-65, the biggest lead of the game.
With nothing left to do but to finish the game without injury, the Mavericks coasted in the fourth quarter, extending their lead to a massive 38 point lead. That lead was the largest margin of victory for the Mavericks this season.
The game was a clear example of how Kentucky plays basketball, allowing a season low 76 points. After allowing Ben Vozzola to score 20 point in the first half, the Mavericks shut him down to only four free throw in the second half. Vozzola was the leading scorer for the game with 24 points.
Anthony “The Jet” Jackson chipped in with 20 points while big man Lamar Sanders came off the bench to put up 16 points, a season high for the Lamar University alum.
Since their 100th straight victory, the Mavericks defeated the Grand Rapids Cyclones by almost 50 points on Valentine's Day this past weekend making it 101 straight victories.
